WoW-News-Jan. 16, 2009- US PvP free character transfers are available according to World of Warcraft forum post. This free character moves to assist in population dispersal from PvP realms. Blizzard highly recommends that if you are planning to transfer that you do so at your earliest convenience.

The event that realms mainly meet their transfer goals before the scheduled end date, the transfers to these realms will be disabled. No characters will be eligible for these free moves once the transfers have been close. These transfers are scheduled to close on Wednesday, January 21, at 6:30 pm PST provided our transfer goals are not reached prior to this time.

Free character moves for PvE realms will be opened shortly, and announced in a separate sticky thread. Please stay tuned for more information.
